I Love My New Butterfly Loom!

For my birthday, my wonderful husband, Michael, got me a set of Butterfly Looms. http://butterflyloom.blogspot.com/ I love them :)

The following video is the instructional video that came with my looms and it is somewhat helpful.

Pictures! They are worth a thousand words, right? I have made a few blankets but for some reason I did not take pictures of all the steps of one blanket so I have to use pictures from different ones :)

This is a square that I made on the large Butterfly Loom.
So far, I have only crocheted around to join each square. The first time (the pink and black blanket) I followed the directions on the Butterfly Loom website. I did three double stitch per loop.
And when I got the corners I double stitched one, chain three, and then double stitched one.
This is what the finished square looks like

After crocheting around all of the squares I just whipped stitched them all together, and viola! A lovely blanket!

Blanket for Baby Zeke

A friend of mine is expecting a baby boy so I got busy trying to find a pattern so I could use my Knifty Knitter (KK).
I found a wonderful wesite http://www.mikeyssmail.com/
These guys have a wonderful wesite with a lot of videos on youtube. Anyway I used my blue KK long loom but I did an e-wrap all the way around to create a flat panel.

I ewrapped it around and left only six pegs empty.

The Final Product. It came out pretty nice, but I don't think I will do it again. The corners curl up and I just didn't care for it.
